Box 1-E MVA
7/21/23 22:33 – Station 1 and Elk Company 7 were alerted to a two vehicle accident with possible entrapment and injuries on Route 219. Chief 1 went enroute right after dispatch. Upon his arrival he found the two vehicles, one in the roadway and one on it’s side on the side of the road. Chief 1 checked on patients finding there to be one confined in the one vehicle. Elk Chief 7 also responded to the scene. Rescue 1 (Capt. J. Knox) and Engine 1 (AC Reed) both responded. Rescue 7-12 and Engine 7-2 responded and took the northern side of the scene. Upon their arrival crews split to do multiple tasks. Some went to work to extricate the one patient, a hose line was pulled due to a high amount of leaking fluids, patients were attended to by firefighter/emts. Fluids were also contained. Upon the arrival of EMS, individuals from Station 1 assisted with loading patients into ambulances. Once the vehicles were removed and roadway was cleared the box was placed available.
